No. TeknoTools Data reads and processes your files on your computer. The part of the app that handles your data has no internet access. The app only goes online when you check for updates or send a support ticket, and it never sends your files or their contents.
There is no official HIPAA certification for software. TeknoTools Data is built for HIPAA workflows: your data stays on your computer, and Mask de-identifies files using the HIPAA Safe Harbor method, with a report of what was done to each field. Your organization remains responsible for how data is shared.
